Investor KITAS (E28A)
The Investor KITAS is a residence permit for foreigners who invest in an Indonesian company and take an active role in managing it. Unlike other types of KITAS, it allows you to legally work for your own business without paying the standard work permit fee. Investors who meet the requirements are also exempt from the annual US $1,200 levy.

Offshore KITAS (apply from outside Indonesia):
- E-visa to enter Indonesia – processing takes 7–10 business days

Required Documents
To apply for an Investor KITAS, you will need:
- Passport valid for at least 30 months (scan or photo)

- Personal account (minimum balance: $2,000 with transactions for the past 3 months)

- Recent photo (selfie is acceptable)

Residential address in Bali
- If you move, the address in KITAS must be updated (fee: 2,000,000 IDR)
- For extensions, a SKTT (Temporary Residence Certificate) is required (registration fee: 1,800,000 IDR). To obtain it, the property owner’s ID will be needed.
