Overview
With the D12 visa, you can visit Indonesia for pre-investment purposes, including field surveys and feasibility studies. The visa also allows for tourism and visiting friends or family. The visa grants a maximum stay of 180 days per entry, and can be extended once for another 180 days, for a total possible stay of up to 1 year. There is also a 2-year variant available.
Visa holders are prohibited from selling goods or services or receiving compensation, wages, or similar payments for work or business from individuals or corporations in Indonesia. The visa cannot be converted into a limited stay permit.
Applications are submitted online by the applicant themselves, and no sponsor is required. Processing time is five working days after payment is received. Special requirements apply for stateless persons or those holding non-national travel documents, including a re-entry permit and onward or return ticket.
The visa is valid from the date of issuance. If not used within the validity period, a new application is required.

What we need from you
- Valid travel document with at least 6 months validity (12 months for non-national passports)
- Proof of living expenses for the duration of stay in Indonesia (bank statement for the last 3 months in the applicant's or sponsor's name, minimum USD 5000 or equivalent)
- Recent color photograph (within the last year)
- Curriculum vitae
- Travel itinerary
- Letter of statement, invitation, or correspondence from a government or private institution explaining the relationship with the applicant
- For stateless persons or holders of non-national travel documents: re-entry permit to the country where the visa is applied for and return/onward ticket (except for crew members)
